# Cellsius – Sustainable Aviation

The dream of sustainable aviation: since 2020, bachelor students at ETH Zurich have been developing an electric aircraft that can seat four people in the ETH hangar. Cellsius’ aims to develop climate-neutral and efficient aircraft for the future. In September 2022, the team attracted a great deal of attention with its maiden flight, which incentivised Cellsius to make another technological leap: At the heart of “Project H2” is a newly developed fuel cell system that will enable the small aircraft to take off using a hydrogen powertrain in the future.
