AMZ – Electric Racing Car World Record
Every year since 2010, around thirty ETH Zurich students from the AMZ team have set out to build an electrically powered race car to test the limits of electric racing. In September 2023, the “Mythen WR” race car accelerated from 0 to 100 km/h in 0.956 seconds. A world record! The race car’s secret? A vacuum fan hugs the vehicle to the tarmac by suction for maximum traction and minimum air resistance.
