Open Space Concept – Park within the Park

As the innovation park expands, the airfield will become largely open to the public as a leisure and recreation area. The 11-hectare area will be made accessible via a circular bicycle and pedestrian path linking the three local communities of Dübendorf, Volketswil and Wangen-Brüttisellen. The extensive plain – a former reed bed – will be systematically developed and ecologically upgraded. Biodiversity will be preserved, and new habitats will be created, for example, by revitalizing three streams.
