Sanetics Takes the Pressure Off Care Staff
In care homes, preparing medication takes up a lot of time. A startup is now lighting the way for care staff.
While the world was clapping for healthcare workers during the pandemic, three developers in Zurich were thinking about how to really support them. This is how Sanetics came to life, along with SaniGuide, a smart medication station using a camera and a color system to guide and monitor medication preparation and dispensing in care homes.
The system cuts the workload by more than half. No need for the four-eyes principle, and it even keeps track of stock levels and places orders when needed. The benefits are obvious — and it doesn't call for major adjustments in daily operations.
In just over a year, Christian Kappler, Fabio Wullschleger, and Michal Malinowski took SaniGuide from a self-built prototype in Büro Züri to a fully tested, ready-to-use product.
