AI + Environment Summit 2026
A full day dedicated to one question: where can artificial intelligence genuinely move the needle on environmental challenges, and where does the hype outpace the impact?
The Innovation Park Zürich is pleased to host the AI + Environment Summit for the third consecutive year, together with the organizing committee from ETH Zurich, UZH and EPFL. The summit brings researchers, industry practitioners and policymakers together for keynotes, parallel sessions and plenty of room to connect. Topics range from AI for weather and climate modelling to drone-based environmental monitoring and conservation, themes that link closely to our own innovation areas in Robotics & Mobility and Aerospace.
Expect keynotes by Prof. Stefano Mintchev (University of Bonn) on bioinspired robotics for hard-to-reach environments and Prof. Pierre Gentine (Columbia University) on latent spaces in weather and climate prediction, a panel on real impact versus AI hype, a poster session with startup booths, and an apéro to close the day.
Date: Wednesday, September 30, 2026
Time: 08:30 – 18:00
Location: Innovation Park Zurich – Event Hangar, Wangenstrasse 72/1, 8600 Dübendorf
Tickets are CHF 50 (regular) and CHF 10 (students), including lunch, coffee and apéro. Registration and the full programme are available on the summit website.
We look forward to welcoming the AI and environmental research community back to the campus!
