Where Science Comes to Life

On August 22, 2026, Switzerland Innovation Park Zurich will for the first time be an event partner and host of Scientifica, Switzerland's largest science festival.

The festival brings researchers, educators, and the public together in one place and makes current science directly tangible, through exhibitions, workshops, lab tours, panel discussions, and short lectures.

Organized by ETH Zurich and the University of Zurich since 2011, Scientifica takes place every two years and attracts over 20,000 visitors. In 2026, Scientifica's theme is "How We Create Knowledge," and for the first time it will be held decentrally across multiple locations. Switzerland Innovation Park Zurich will open the festival on Saturday, August 22.

At the Switzerland Innovation Park Zürich, the hangars open up for hands-on research and technology: student teams present their electric race carsHyperloop prototypes, and rocket propulsion systems, while autonomous drones and robotic systems operate live.

Short lectures on space medicinenew materials, and sensor technology provide in-depth expertise, and workshops on 3D printingsoldering, and prototyping invite visitors to build and experiment themselves, rounded off by shows and demonstrations at top speed.

A day for anyone who wants to understand and experience technology firsthand: from tech-savvy professionals to the whole family, with a focus on Robotics & Autonomous SystemsSpace & Aviation, and Advanced Manufacturing & Materials.

Get inspired by over 45 projects from research, academia, and industry: exhibitions in tents, short lectures, hands-on workshops, and shows.

Autonomous vehicles, walking and flying robots, and advanced navigation systems in live action. Student teams and start-ups showcase self-driving race cars, delivery drones, and robots that navigate independently and take on tasks, from the Formula Student track to Hyperloop test operations.
